I received the news few minutes ago and I’m excited to introduce Stacks Accelerator: they have raised $4M to launch an accelerator to invest in Web 3.0 startups focused on decentralized finance, NFTs, and all things related to blockchain.

The program is modeled after the top accelerators and run online, so you can participate from anywhere in the world.

The program will feature some of the best speakers, mentors, and investors in the startup industry.

Already they’ve confirmed Eric Ries (Author of Lean Startup), Anthony “Pomp” Pompliano (Pomp Investments), Sergey Nazarov (Founder of Chainlink), Meltem Demirors(CSO of CoinShares), Thomas France (Co-Founder of Ledger), Albert Wenger (Managing Partner at Union Square Ventures), Daniela Perdomo (CEO of goTenna), JP Singh(Professor of Computer Science at Princeton), Shawn Broderick (General Partner at SOSV/dLab), and many others!

They’re investing $50k in each company on an uncapped note. Uncapped notes are almost unheard of and the best deal your startup can get because we don’t take a fixed equity percentage, the $50k just converts into equity at whatever your valuation is. If you raise in the future at $5M, it would convert at less than 1%.

They’re investing exclusively on teams building on a platform called Stacks. Stacks is an alternative to Ethereum that allows anyone to write smart contracts and apps that operate on top of the Bitcoin network. The project was initially developed by an incredible team funded by YCombinator, Union Square Ventures, and many other top investors. Trevor Owens (Stacks Accelerator Managing Partner) was one of the first advisors to the team in 2014, and he said they’ve built something incredible that can give a lot of startups an unfair advantage in the market. You can read more about Trevor thoughts on Stacks tech stack here.

If you’re working on a Web 3.0 startup, or know someone talented who is, they’d love to have you apply on their website. The application deadline is May 14th and the program kicks off May 21st.

They’d also love your support on Product Hunt, where they just launched the program. Please leave them a comment or question and they’ll answer it right away.
